Hi, could you tell me how long a branch should remain wired ?

Hry Ian...thanks for video. I have two ficus pandora at about this stage. I have wired the trunk for movement. But am new to actually working with ficus....and somehow i feel that ficus might be one of those plants that pretends to be wired, but once the wire is removed, the ficus will rather quickly grow out of the applied shape. My ficus are just babies do you have any older ficus that have kept the primary trunk shape that you have created?

What's the best way to propagate those kinds of clippings? I want to prune mine back, but it's August now, late summer, here in the States. Is it too late in the season for such a hard prune?

Three years ago i garbage rescue aficus benjamina, it was in earth, in a front garden of a house near of my neighborhood. I grow it indoor, with my urban jungle. It have a very hughe trunck because he grew up on earth. I need to change the soil for one like bonsai substrate. In other situatiin, i tried to grow a ^Ginseng Ficus^ in bonsai soil, but he didnt like it, do you have that variety? I know isnt a strictly bonsai. Grestings from San Juan Argentina

I had a grewia occidentalis on my desk at work, and I didn't know how to prune it, so it got huge. I finally chopped all the branches down in the beginning of September when my boss pissed me off. All the leaves immediately started falling off, and it got infested with a tiny bug that looked like a wisp of cotton. They were definitely not mealybugs, but idk what they were. They looked like lint. I threw it away. Because I couldn't have an infested plant on my desk while trying to work. I should have never cut all those branches.
