Cold Tub Maintenance: How To Balance the Chemicals

Michael Phelps Chilly GOAT Cold Tubs by Master Spas require minimal chemicals, thanks to their built-in water care system and the chill factor that naturally inhibits bacterial growth. But the cold tub still requires chemicals to keep the water clear and safe for cold water immersion.

In this how-to video, we demonstrate the step-by-step process of balancing the chemicals in your cold tub.

Every Chilly GOAT owner should have a liquid test kit and your cold tub chemical kit, which includes Cold Tub Balance Up, Cold Tub Balance Down, Cold Tub Sanitizer, and Refresh — a chlorine-free oxidizer.

When adding chemicals to your cold tub, add the required product 1 teaspoon at a time.

The ideal pH range for your Chilly GOAT cold tub is between 7.2 and 7.6. Ideally, you want the chlorine level to be between 1 to 3 ppm.
