In my first playthrough I used the shortcut. But i didn't realised that and i went up blightown in reversed until i hit a blocked wall since the dragon was still alive... and now i had to do blightown in the right order.

When I first played Dark Souls a friend of mine recommended the Master Key as the starting gift.

I accidentally stumbled onto the shortcut to the halfway point of Blightown, lit the bonfire and just proceeded to climb down the ladders to the bottom. I wondered why I knew so many people who struggled with the area just to discover I had no idea it wasn't the "correct" way to go through it.

Funny thing is, the game essentially acknowledges that the blowdart snipers are a pain in the ass and they will not respawn after you kill them and rest in a bonfire, as if they are an actual miniboss lol

When I went into Blighttown I was scared but it wasn't as bad as everyone said tbh
