I used  some of your sugggestions for sorting fabric (older video using crate storage) and it does make it much easier to find something... I too have a craft space in the basement and I store all my fabric in large covered clear bins...   I weeded through and sorted all the smaller pieces in one and larger in another ( and another...) Folded them on larger cardboard and stood them up un the bins instead of piling one on top of another..   So much easier to look through and find something for sure and use it!     It took a while but I'm glad I did it ..  also save old jeans as I want to make something from them   soon....Thanks for sharing your organization and hope you begin to feel better....

You do have a lot of stuff, but you use it too so that's great.  My sewing supplies are stored the same as yours.  I find it pretty handy.  I too have my sister-in-laws sewing stuff and serger too, but it just sits because I have my fingers into too many things!  Oh my, I can't even thread the serger even after classes.  Thanks for taking the time to show this especially when you are not feeling well.  Hope you are much better now.

Your room looks very organized! Your fabric looks so neat in the drawer like that. I have a very small sewing room so what I have done is to take all the things that I do not use regularly, and put them in a basement closet. For example, if I need my polyfil, it is right there in the closet and I will bring it up when I go down to do laundry. This has relieved some of the clutter in my sewing room and I know where everything is. I also took out a shelf unit, and a large chair that would not push under the table. This has really opened up the room and I can move around easier. Thanks for the video; I enjoy seeing how others keep their stuff!!

Hope you feel better soon. I here you are going to get more snow. Stay warm and safe. Thank you for the video! I store all my fabric in clear plastic shoe boxes and larger ones. I think clear storage is best for me cause I need to see everything. Thanks again... : )

Thumbs up again, but here I have the advantage on you (not that it is a competition LOL) but I have much more fabric and sewing materials than you do.  However, I am a patchwork and quilting teacher -  thanks to my time spent in California, where I first learned about it.  When I returned to England I took another course, then went on to get a teaching certificate.  I love fabrics and whenever I enter a fabric store, I get a 'rush' .  I also love color and texture, so they come together.  Other than that you have lots more crafting and art supplies than I do.  I am also a passionate paper crafter x

Thanks for this series of videos, I have really enjoyed them.   I have a quick tip for you....I noticed that the drawers on your cabinet were sticking.  If you rub wax on the outside areas of the your drawers, they will glide like butter...  Hope your feeling better soon.

Makes me wonder if the nasty bug that went around here in November got transported to your coast by plane or something.  Mine went into an upper respiratory thing, then larengytis and I ended up being sick for a month.  Get lots of sleep and chicken soup and try to get rid of it quickly.  If it doesn't go away, go to the drs.   We've had -40 for over a week and I'm REALLY ready for Spring, as I'm sure you are!  Your room looks so nice and organized now!
