Hey I store my fabric like this already using cereal boxes, costs nothing and I'm recycling.

Two points: 1. I used stainless steel straight pins to fasten folded yardage but it left rust spots on contact, so I would use plastic clips instead. 2. are there any places on the top edge of the large boards to write/erase/rewrite the number of yards that are currently stored on that board, and are easily viewable?

Should qualify this product for quilting fabrics- mine stash is mostly wool and this would not work well.

These appear to be similar to gator board. It's used in sign making. The stuff is tough and doesn't warp. It's common for election signage. It's a lot more durable than cardboard.
