Very hyped for the Linux Mint update! Almost coming up to a year since I switched to Linux and I picked Mint for the job. I can't say it has ever failed me, the UI is simple yet beautiful and the daily driving experience has been rock solid.

I love that the linux world always has something new to be excited about. You can see tangible progress happening before your own eyes and improving your time as a user.

System76 are doing some seriously exciting work lately. I've been using the current Cosmic on Gnome implementation and have been enjoying it greatly. Pop's a wonderfully sturdy distro. Them designing their own laptop in house is also really cool. I'm hoping they can put out a solid product. They're poised for greatness.

Apple going big on ARM has really lit a fire under everyone messing with those SoCs. Things have seriously accelerated on that front in the last couple years.

3 million Decks out in the wild is huge! Remember that you can't go to a store and buy one. You can only get them from Valve directly so these sales are excellent. It's carving out a solid niche for itself.

System76 is doing some really incredible stuff with PopOS, the amount of innovation coming out of there is just staggering. If they could just fix the train wreck that is the Pop Shop...

popOS is as close to a perfect Linux system in my experience. And much of that is because of the many decisions they've taken downstream with the desktop. Cannot wait for Cosmic to be ready.

I greatly appreciate the effort of everyone working on Linux distros. When I heard in this video about fixes to a file browser, it seemed like there might be a way to multiply efforts by having teams working on, say, a file browser, rather than a file browser for a particular distro. Maybe this is already being done.

I was a little concerned about System 76 not have a preview for Cosmic yet, until I looked up when PopOS 22.04 was released (Apr 25, 022).
