After that, the women he married were mostly widows or divorced women ( who were mostly seen as not wanted by other men) in order to protect them in times of chaos and war . And after other men saw that, they understood that widows or divorced women have the right to remarry. So no, Mohammed is not the lustful man people wish to paint him as.
