Paul Scholes' reaction after Chelsea defence comment and Manchester United 0-5 loss to Liverpool

Paul Scholes made to swallow his words after claiming that Chelsea have the worse defence in top 4 of the Premier league.

Former Manchester United star Paul Scholes raised eyebrows during the latest episode of The Overlap after saying that Chelsea currently have the weakest defence out of the Premier League’s top four.

Scholes, who was discussing various Premier League-related topics with an audience of football fans alongside Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher, said that he doesn’t view Chelsea as potential title contenders this season.

This was a curious comment considering Chelsea sat top of the table during the international break after picking up 16 points from their opening seven fixtures while his beloved Manchester United have been leaking goals, including 5 goals at home against Liverpool.

The good thing about Paul's statement is he said "he think Chelsea have the weakest defense". No one can stop someone from thinking poorly he just embarrassed himself by such statements because of sentiment. I don't think he meant what he said but if he does, then he probably talks before he thinks instead of the other way round.

Man U currently has conceded goals more than Burnley that are 18 on the table, conceded the same with Leeds United that are 17 on the table, more than Southampton 16 on the table and more than Crystal Palace that are 15 on the table. Paul Scholes just embarrassed himself.

The fact u played football at the top level don't mean u have any about how to coach a team. As a football player, u take in information from your coach, who knows about football, execute the idea of the coach. Chelsea are champions of Europe and top of the premier league and Paul still think this Man Utd is better? Please, no club should employ Paul as coach, he will take u to relegation

Amongst the likes of Gerrard and lampard, I think scholes was good but not their level, he was over hyped he was no where near Frankie or Steve....he should be worried about Maguire's absent mindedness and ole Gunnar being tactically clueless...Chelsea currently have the best defense in the world, virtually all their defenders are scoring and creating clean sheets
