George Chakiris, wow I have been a fan of yours from 12 years old. You were Great, what a wonderful pefornance. The night the Academy Awards was on, & you won, my family & I were screaming with happiness. Yasou George, a Greek to win the Oscar. We were so proud if you. You were terrific. Acting, dancing singing. I sent you a card wishing you all the best. About a month later your Dad sent me a note thanking me. I could'nt believe it. I cherish that letter. I did this for musical this year and I must say, mambo was the hardest scene to do just because there were so many people on stage and difficult to get everyone on sync and doing the right moves.

It was really fun though!

My mother dragged me to see the WWS when I was 12 yrs old. The jazz dance fight scene caught me by surprise and I burst out laughing. Mom had to hush me! I find it as ridiculously funny today as I did back then. It should have won the limp wrist sissy award.
