Hope you enjoyed todays declutter! My wardrobe feels so much better and it's no longer stressful trying to put laundry away 🥳

I remember after having my child I really appreciated how clever my body was. I felt the most feminine I ever felt. I embraced it flabby bits and all its imperfections. We have a habit of finding fault with our physical selves, but we should appreciate our health and what we are able to do. Not everyone has that. You have spurred me on to sort out my own closets now. Great video.

I think you made such a valid point that when we declutter we can feel we've wasted money on clothes and can feel guilty about buying more but adding even a few new items that make us feel better can give us such a boost, we're worth it! I'm 57 so now coping with a menopause body and just finding replacement clothes in the shops is hard.

Your body grew a little person. That's an amazing body regardless of any change 😊

Thank you for this encouraging and inspiring video! You are so lovely to listen to, very calming while also informative. I appreciate how you address the emotional aspect to decluttering and why it can be difficult to party with certain items. Still working on my wardrobe but looking forward to being more minimal very soon! 🤍

What a satisfying declutter, I really feel that it helps clear the mind! After my son was born I started devluttering, 8 years later, I'm still at it!

Don't think I've watched any of your videos before but really loved this one and am excited to watch more. Thank you for being vulnerable and sharing, it was very relatable and always nice to have a reminder that others are going through similar struggles ❤

Saw a post earlier on menopause and thought I would elaborate on it….There is peri-menopause, menopause and then post -menopause. Period with peri-menopause, then no period for 12 consecutive months, then after no period for 12 months, so the 13th month, it’s called post-menopause. Piece of advice when the time comes, communicate with a GYN doctor about HRT or other ways to help. It was a huge game changer for me. The flashes pretty much gone, mood swings lessened, night sweats, anxiety lessened, heart palpitations, achy joints are gone, etc. The benefits are really important because without estrogen, inflammation throughout the body increase dramatically, can delay changes in skin, it slows the ageing process as well. My advice, when you turn 40… watch your weight because the weight gain is quick once the estrogen/ progesterone decline. Try to lose 1 stone once you start a few symptoms like night sweats. Weight gain is inevitable with most women. Love your vlog ! You are so clever ❤

Decluttering can be not only physically draining, but also intellectually and emotionally draining! But despite all the hard work, SO rewarding and satisfying when it's done! Such a great feeling!!

Hi Kay we all have body changes specially when we get older. We just have to learn how to love ourselves no matter what. 👍👍❤

It was still interesting to see your decluttering, however, just my personal preference for clothing decluttering videos, I enjoy hearing more of the decision making process. It would have been nice to hear more of you verbalizing your decision making process over your items. Why are you keeping the ones you’re keeping? What have you noticed about what you currently like. Why are you getting rid of the ones you are, why don’t you they work anymore? Etc. etc. I know many YouTubers will say they don’t want the video to get too long.. I enjoy the longer ones with the ‘talking’/ explanations rather than just music with fast forwarded footage. If others don’t, they can always fast forward the videos. I find the explanations so much more helpful and motivating.

For the jumpers and dresses with narrow straps, take them to a seamstress and they can get creative adding trim or lace to make them wide enough to cover the bra strap. And the dress with the puffy shoulders, take that to a seamstress too and they can remove the poufy bit to create a traditional sleeve! Anything you love a lot except for 1 small aspect, see if it can't be modified before you part with it. A good seamstress can work miracles, even making small garments larger by creating side panels in matching solid colors. You will know they have been altered, but the rest of the world will think you bought it that way!

My policy these days if I should loose weight I deserve some new pieces not the ones in the back of my wardrobe. Good job Kay lovely video

You looked stunning in that dark blue dress! I hope you felt that way too and kept it 🙂Great job! Decluttering clothes that don't make you feel good about yourself is so very important! Have a lovely day <3

So satisfying to watch! Have you considered adding shelves above the closet rods? I keep my out of season clothes up there in my closet

I'm in the middle of doing this just now. I'm 5 months pregnant and getting rid of things I don't wear (Vinted is the best!) and packing away things I won't wear until next year at least. I want the house to be a clutter free for the baby arriving so first stop is to clean out all my old clothes.

It's great you decluttered Kay! Makes such a difference cleaning a closet as it seems to declutter the mind too! I am British living in the US and noticed when i moved here over 20 years ago. how large closets were, and people had so many clothes, i could not believe it! Almost lik the size of diner food plates!! Clothes were so cheap and abundantly available! I never really found a style for myself since i got into the trap of buying cheap clothes all the time for myself and my kids! I felt shopping was quite an American pastime! Finally seriously began to declutter all the clothes and found my style. Simple, floral dresses, sweaters, cardigans, t-shirts and skirts. A few pairs of shoes. I do not have typical summer/winter wardrobe, i just layer nice cardigans/sweaters over dresses/skirts. I remind myself, growing up in the UK we had small wardrobes, very little clothes and ate simply so i try to emulate that now. Thank you and God bless
