For a house warming gift: One of my favourite things to gift people is a first aid kit! You can sometimes get cute tin first aid boxes at home goods, then fill it with typical first aid items! Tylenol/advil, allergy pills, antiacids, cold/flu meds, lozenges, Band-Aids, bandage supplies, self adhesive wrap, disinfecting spray etc! Especially with OTC medication, a lot of people dont think about certain things until its needed (ie cold meds) Its something super useful and you can easily customize the container!

it may not be considered a house-warming gift but a great idea for people moving into a new place is restaurant gift cards! The thought of having to cook when you have all that unpacking is such a nightmare, especially when you'd then have to do dishes afterwards, so giving them the opportunity to get out of the house to have a meal and not worry about cleanup afterward can be super helpful for some people^^

recommendation: get those thin velvet coat hangers. They save an amazing amount of hanger space AND they come in pretty colors AAAAND they won't bite into your clothes anywhere and the velvet grips the cloth very well. I doubled my closet space just by switching to smaller coat hangers, fr.

Some painting tips: for the type of job you were doing, I highly recommend a mini roller. That will eliminate the brush strokes. Also, if you're going to buy a paintbrush, I suggest buying purdy- that brand is the best and it makes all the difference in the world. I don't think Home Depot sells that brand anymore but you could get it at another hardware store.

A great way to organize your hanging clothing, as a fellow person who often ends up with a closet full of stuff she doesnt wear: put everything back after being worn/washed to the far side. You'll start to see items that you never wear building up on the opposite side, and then you'll know what needs to go. 🌷

Were I live its common to give "Brot und Salz" so bread and salt as a housewarming gift. Bonus points if its fancy bread and fancy salt.
Also I organize by colour and then sleeve length like you did!

Mine is by color. Light to darks. Pants are all together same as before, light to darks.
I don’t have summer, autumn, winter rotations because I don’t own a lot of clothing. Everything is in one closet. Always.
Shoes are up above my clothing 10 pairs no more. Arranged from short ankle like running shoes, two triple up keds, sandal, flip flops,
Then on top are black high heels, black dress heels, nice white boots, combat boots, snow boots.
The only shoes not there are my crocs to wear inside the home.
I’m not into clothing but the clothing I wear is high quality and very few, I hate clothing shopping so my stuff better last.
Really like the way you organize, everything makes sense.
