I think a good/fun rule for thrifting clothes is you can’t buy more thrifted clothes until you’ve worn all the items you got last time you went thrifting! That way I don’t make the same mistakes buying and remember what I’m actually liking

I would love to see a video thats like a "week of styling and wearing some of my unworn pieces". You could style some of the things you never wear, do some vlog style clips throughout the day and then at the end of the day decide if you're going to keep the items or not! ❤️

Maybe you should get a clothing rack and go shopping in your own closet to make sure you’re rotating your clothing. I felt like I had nothing to wear but still so much clothing (haha!) so I pulled out the clothing I wanted to wear for the next week and put them seperate from my other clothes. Now I do this all the time. You can make a series where you show us what clothing you’re pulling for the week or month ahead. I would really like to watch a series like that!

Something I've been doing for a while that helps with the closet organization is sorting everything by color families. This works well for me because I probably have 5 main colors in my wardrobe with a couple of outliers. I love just looking for whatever colors I want to pair together and choosing from its dedicated section.

It would really add to the aesthetic value of your closet to organize clothes by color. That is also helpful in building coherent outfits. It might help in wearing more of your clothes, too, since you might think, "Oh, I wore a lot of blue this week, so maybe today I will go with red."

I mean this not in a critical way but a possibly fun suggestion. If you don't know what a fabric is called like the eyelet. Research it and similar patterns with us. We both learn more about fashion and there may be fun reasons things got there name. Thanks for sharing

I have ridwell and they take everything, your donations and then your recyclable-only type clothes, scraps of fabric etc and I'm now inspired to go through and more thoroughly cut down on the amount of "I'll literally never reach for this" clothes. I'm a hair stylist and I ruined a ton of clothes and keep them out of guilt even when they are too bleached or stained to wear. Highly recommend anyone who has ridwell in their area to get it because it truly does help nudge that guilt away, a bit. Thanks for the inspiration, Carrie!
