Hello from Russia! 🇷🇺 Often called the "other Trans-Siberian Railway," the Baikal-Amur Mainline ( BAM ) runs parallel to its more famous sibling — but cuts through even more rugged, untouched landscapes of Siberia and the Russian Far East.
Today, we’re riding a Russian train on an epic 25-hour journey across one of the most remote and legendary railways in the world.
We’ll travel from Lake Baikal in Severobaykalsk to Tynda — the unofficial capital of the BAM — in a classic Russian platzkart (third-class sleeper), experiencing life aboard one of the most isolated railway lines on Earth.

Там происходит их загрузка щебнем, рельсами и так далее. Эти вагоны - это пассажирские вагоны, которые прицепляют к хозяйственному поезду, и доставляют в них работников ремонтных бригад. Кстати, пассажирские вагоны, которые цепляют к поездам в качестве сопровождения, называются "турные"

Great trip, another Russian Train, and it's going more east and east. As usual, this train already running long journey before reaching your departure station. And yeah another Platzkart, still great. The train driver is like random, sometimes they are friendly, but sometimes they are aggresive, depending on person. Something interesting to see is, the Inspection car joined on this train consist. That train light goes dark during your tea time. Can't wait for another adventure.

The length of this route is approximately 1300 km. The trip will take 26 hours. There are 2 trains running daily. Up to 60 thousand people live along this railway in total. This is such a small population for the daily running of 4 trains in 10 cars. But these trains stop at every station with a population of 300-400 people. These trains are the only way to get to a major towns in 8-12 hour train ride away. Most people live in two cities with a population of more than 20 thousand people at the starting and ending points of this route - Severobaikalsk and Tynda. The BAM railway for local residents is not only a source of food in the store or a connection to the world of large cities but also work on this railway. The only job along the way is mining, logging and job at railroad.

However life in these remote towns is quite comfortable. There are almost all advantages of a big city in the European part of Russia: central heating and hot water in houses and apartments, schools and kindergartens and sometimes college, shops and post office, pharmacy and hospitals in each town of 1, 000 people and above.

Это купейный вагон Аммендорф,
после капитального ремонта .
Визуально, всё новое, но нет душа,
установку которого, не позволяет конструкция вагона .
При покупке билетов, через приложение РЖД, есть возможность выбрать новый вагон .
При покупке на вокзале, придётся обратиться к кассиру .
