Travelled from Beijing to Moscow on the trans Siberian train in 1984. Travelled 3rd class. Cost $186 USD for the 6 day trip. Dined on champagne and cavier by trading a pair of jeans and a walkman tape deck on the black market with the car conductor!!!

In the USA they are the worst! Just like the whole infrastructure. I took a train once from NYC to North Caroline and i was so disappointed that this Russian train looks like first class luxe

Trains are a bit slow here in the US in the west.. But you get to see a lot of the country as you go..

I remember, i got scared, because trans siberian always stop randomly into forest in siberia, and i scared that poeples dont made it back because they walk to cities to buy food, if you are not back, the train dont care they let you there

Train travel in India is pretty much the same! Just we dont have the vending machines and instead of dining car, we have pantry car which delivers food to our cabins.

В интервью Ангела Меркель говорила что её мечта проехать на поезде через всю Россию. Есть разные купе, на два человека комфортные, обычные общие вагоны без кабинок. Киркоров например берет себе на гастроли целый личный вагон люкс с личным проводником

Train service in England sucks. Bastards are always going on strike which means two days of chaos. I now rent car services because I don’t trust the trains.

That felt a bit rushed. I would have liked to see a bit more and at a slower pace. I’ve only ever been on trains that people usually take for no more than a day, because people in Canada just choose to fly., because it’s faster and costs almost the same. The trains have no cabins or beds. I don’t know if we even have trains like that anymore. There used to be one for people who wanted to cross the country and see the views, but I don’t know if it still runs.

I have never gone on such a long trip, but even on other such trains they offer food such as fast preparation noodles, soup or buckwheat

Train travel in my country (Brazil) is mostly non-existent. Most of the rail network are metropolitan, commuter rail, and there are very few long distance travel by train. The longest one I think it's about 1000 kilometer long, and aren't high speed at all.

Train coaches look like 2nd AC of Indian railways.,

In Europe we usually take a plane! For less money we travel that distance for a few hours! ( £60 for flight London to Sofia in 3 hours)

I like the trains in my country. Not the best but good enough. Can go pretty much anywhere in the country within 2 hours and it's free because I'm a student. The Netherlands
