Surviving on a Russian Train for 5 Days! 🇷🇺

The Trans-Siberian train, the longest train journey in the world across the largest country on Earth.
This train runs from Moscow in European Russia, to Vladivostok in the far east and back, covering over 9000km's and taking over a week. Most people take the train eastwards towards Siberia.
However, we decided to hop on this train in Vladivostok, and ride it in reverse, from the far east of Russia, across Siberia, and towards Europe. What waited us, was not what we were hoping for, this is the reality of travelling the real Trans-Siberian Express and it ruined us...
Join us as we head west from Vladivostok on the trans Siberian railway, (passing through the Russian cities of Khabarovsk, Chita, Ulan Ude, Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk, as well as the beautiful Lake Baikal) and let us show you what living on Russia's most famous railway really looks like.

I’ve been to Russia in February. When you consider the vast distance, temperature extremes, and logistical challenges, the fact that it runs as well as it does is remarkable. I’ve ridden trains in Russia and I give them a high rating.

I went from St. Petersburg to Sochi. It was an amazing trip. I wish that relations were better between the US and Russia because I’d love to go back and travel more of the country. Until then, I can live vicariously through you!

Julia, your laughter in the face of that unbearable confinement with your « neighbor » was perfect.

Oh how funny and lovely this video was!! When I saw the notification I thought I had seen it already, not realizing you'd done it again!! I have to tell you, I am 73yo and live in the USA and I realized as I watched that never before today have I seen pictures or video of Siberia *without* snow!! How beautiful the countryside is!! I'm sure you enjoyed your visit but I am overcome with wonder if you went back the same way!?!?! 😊

I find that sharing your feelings creates a stronger bond between content providers and viewers. Watching this I felt it, thank you for sharing 😊

That might have been awful for y'all, but it was a blast for me! You used your irritation to create humor. Good job. Better to laugh than cry! lol Your grandmother looked good. I'm sure she was happy to see you. And I loved her new couch. Thanks for taking us on the train trip from hell to visit Granny! It was fun.

The romantic idea of travelling on the Trans Siberia train versus the reality. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I will never be able to see the vast expanse of Russia or the other amazing places you’ve taken us to, except through your videos.👍🏻

I loved this. I travelled the trans Siberian in 1997 when i was 30 from Moscow to Vladivostok in platskart, an experience i winever forget. Drank vodka with russian soldiers, washed my hair using a cup og hot water from ths samavar. Its was unforgettable, highs and lows x

My oh my what a train trip. The train was super modern! The views spectacular. Julia I've never seen you so giggly... something in the water? Matt in shorts on the train with -3 C outside. Cozy train temps! Traveling, especially airports is often "hell". But in the end it is the journey, the people you meet, the crazy things, the smells of a new place, the joy of an adventure. Can't wait for Uzbekistan. See you soon! Linda

Longest train I have done is the Zephyr from San Francisco to Chicago over three days and even in a private cabin that felt like AGES. I am really bad at sharing my space when I am tired and just want to read for a while, I thought you all handled it in really good humour and it will be one of those stories and experiences that will stick with you. Thank you for sharing as ever!

Blimey, this sounds like the ride from hell, but seeing Julia desperately trying not to lose her shit while describing the old man's shenanigans is just hilariously funny.

I stumbled on your videos over the winter. I absolutely love watching your travels. I may have a bit of a different perspective. I have 3 adopted children who were born in Russia. My daughter is from Krasnoyarsk and my sons were born in Vladimir. I also have friends whose children were born in Chita. My mother and a friend’s traveled across Russia in the trans Siberian in 2014. My kids and I would love to make the trip together some day. So many find memories. Please keep posting. These videos warm my heart ♥️

Wonderful journey! Thank you for showing me a place I've only read about and would otherwise never see. And I'm so thankful I have not been held captive with an annoying person 😂😂😂
