HRT & clots

HRT & clots:
So many women are mistakenly refused HRT on the basis they are at risk of having a clot or thromboembolism.

The NICE Guidance was updated in 2015 & so was the advice from the British Menopause Society, then reiterated in the British Menopause Journal (BMJ) in 2019 that transdermal HRT has NO risk of clots.

Please take this information and discuss your HRT options with your doctor.

Yes, there is risk of vascular disease & clots with transdermal! And definitely with Mirena coil. I'm going through severe vascular issues in my legs & feet due to the Estradiol patch 0.025 & I'm on micronized progesterone USP capsule vaginally inserted at bedtime. I've been on HRT 11 months & symptoms started at month 6. Never had these issues before HRT. Very scary & now spending money on emergency room visits & doctors visits to get help!!
