I’ll be 50 in January and this has weighed heavy on my mind. Watching my mother and grandmother struggle through menopause, you have helped me make an educated decision, HRT is the path I’ll be choosing. Thank you so much.

Just saw my new internal medicine doctor yesterday and she's not at all happy with my reasons for taking HRT. She told me to only take them for hot flashes. I', m 59 and started HRT in my early 50's. My gyno is perfectly on board with my reasons for taking HRT which are disease prevention. This video was very timely for me.

I like that you encourage people to listen to their body. I was on an Estradiol 0.05mg patch and 100mg micronized Progesterone for 4 months. I immediately noticed that I put on weight around my waist and my breasts became uncomfortable and much bigger. After about 3 months I began to get frequent headaches, some so bad that they would wake me up. So...I have come off the HRT and all the bloating, headaches etc went away after 1 week. I am going to manage my Menopause without the use of hormones I've decided. Nature has provided all we need.

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?? Thank you from the depths of my sweaty, moody, confused soul! I would love to have you for a doctor-I think (at 58) this is the best I’ve understood HRT. Rock on sister!!!!

I started taking HRT last November and after 3 months of Estradiol patch and Progesterone I'm finally feeling like a normal person. I never really suffered from hot flashes but had every other symptom of menopause. I felt really miserable all the time. Now I don't suffer from anxiety and I'm sleeping a lot better. Progesterone helps with sleep. I have to thank Dr. Taylor because if it were not finding her YouTube Channel (and reading her book) I would not be on HRT. My GYN was not forthcoming at all, I had to initiate the conversation. I agree that we are all taking the risk but for me for right now this is where I want to be.

Wow! Thank you so much for this information! I am definitely sharing it with all my relevant friends. Was in tears last night because of this new period of menopause I am entering. It scared me very much of what to do and not to do. Only because a lack of knowledge. You really answered my questions to the “T” and I now know what to do. I am so very happy now and feel much more confident to enter this new period in my life!! You are amazing. Can’t stop telling every woman about your video’s. Thank you so much for being so special!!! 🙏🙌💕

My GP put me on estrogen without putting me on progesterone. After watching one of your videos, I booked an appointment with a specialist. I just wanted to thank you for posting this information so women can make the best decision for themselves.

Oh my goodness this information over any other videos is what I needed to push me forward to insist on HRT and to not live in fear of it. Thank you so much!

Thank you Dr Taylor; you are a blessing to women entering menopause; so many misconceptions out there regarding HRT even with other doctors; WHY!? Keep spreading the real education to us older ladies, as I think this topic is still so taboo. Happy day to you!

I just found this site, and it is very helpful! I'm 69, entered menopause at age 50; my Internist refused to give me HRT due to the risk of breast cancer---although my family has no such risk. I feel like not having taken the HRT was a major mistake, and I should have had a second opinion back then, but it seemed like everyone's mantra was "breast cancer" at the time. A scan last year showed scores of 0 (zero) plaques on any blood vessels except the left descending (which was around 125), which I've been working to reverse. (I successfully reversed small scores of 5, etc. on a few vessels many years ago). Anyway, I do intensive gym workouts every week and am in great shape, take supplements (e.g, K2, D3, etc.) for bone health, as osteoporosis was in my family history. Also, my mom had mild dementia (though not Alzheimer's), so that weighs on my thought process... However, I fear that everything I'm doing is not enough and that I have sadly missed the boat. I may schedule a consult; thank you for this information!

Excellent, excellent explanation...!! the best I have ever heard... and yet only 87K people watched it... while Huberman, Attia and all this buzz fame seeking gurus are racking millions, with just blabla woman savior kind of vibes, with videos that last hours and not as detailed, and good explanation. Thank you thanks Menopause Barbie/Taylor. You're such a great teacher... I'll forward this to all my female pre-menopausal, menopausal women friends

You are our Jewel! Before Dominique introduced your channel, I knew nothing about all these hormones and effects. I feel knowledgeable now. Thank you, our Goddess!

I was surfing Utube and ran across your video. I had a complete hysterectomy at age 48 and started HRT. A few years laterI switched to a compounded formula which I used until I reached the age where no one would prescribe it. I am now 80 years old and have suffered severe hot flashes since stopping HRT. The hot flashes are constant through day and night. Each hot flash is accompanied by a bladder urgency that sends me rushing to the bathroom where I have a fan by the toilet. I also have a fan at the foot of my bed with a remote. Sleep is a thing of the past for me. I could go on and on about the disruptions to my life caused by these hot flashes. I am very depressed and just want this to end. I never expected to be living my final chapter in such misery.
I have almost been on my knees before many doctors, begging for mercy but to no avail. I still have no solution but I do thank you for shedding some light on the topic. I hope this will help some women to prevent this problem in their senior years.
