I replaced all of my cheap plastic sump pumps with Zoellers after watching your videos. And while it was expensive, It has been almost 2 years and I haven't had a water issue. Thank you

I believe the Zoeller sump pumps all have a small hole already built into the pump to prevent the air lock issue. You can see the small hole near the base of the pump. No need to drill the air vent into the PVC pipe. Thanks for the video!

How far away from the pit can you attach the catch-valve if you are pumping out several feet?

Did you hard wire the pump in or did you just plug it into an outlet? Also, if you hard wire it in a junction box, do you just cut off the plug and wire it do you replace the plug wire with conduit right from the pump? Also, do you use 14/3 or 12/3 conduit. I have a 50 foot run to the junction box, does that make a difference?

Curious. Thos is the first installation video of Chuck's where he puts the 1st check valve outside of the pit. Anyone know why?
