Love the idea of multi planting of orchids. Your looks beautiful Jeff. Getting into orchids now. One phalenopsis and a Dendrobium Nobly. So far so good.

Cool, I love orchids, they can be really rewarding. I used to try all kinds but now I'm back to mostly phals. I have two old cattleyas that have fragrant blooms! They made the cut awhile back when I started really cutting down on the plants I had. :)

It is very possible to have silvery air roots while roots in the pot are green since air roots will dry out much faster than roots in the pot. Clear pots help to ID the color of roots inside the pot.

It was a great class! Lol! I have about 40 orquids in my collection and you were really spot on everything (especially the comment on the ice cubs, that is a no no in orquid care). You can water the leaves to get rid of dust, but should make sure to dry the crown. I liked what you did, but the spot where you put it looks a bit hidden, i do not know if you can really appreciate the flowers. And you usually should not repot an orquid when it flowers it can cause stress to the plant and make it loose them. ❤

My mom’s Phal bloomed for 10 months and then set out more blooms immediately. She fertilizes about once a month regardless. It’s an enormous phal too, with spotted blooms. Stunning

I have two daughter n law’s and I took two from one and one from the other before they died lol so far so good . One is almost flowering and it is from main stem after I cut them back I’m sooo excited to see the blooms ❣️I already had the vitamins for some reason lol but one thing they desperately need repotting ! I’m really an African violet pro but always wanted orchids soooo here we goo ! The repot looks fantastic altogether Thanks Jeff ✌🏻

Ooo... I see, your insta post was a tease! I'll have to save this for after work to watch! I don't have any orchids, yet.

Fantastic arrangement! I would take the sticks out (they are only to protect the plant during transport), and let them cascade and hang down as they naturally would. That way having the pot in the elevated position will make even more sense.

A comment - I have grown orchids for a couple of decades and I have never heard about not fertilizing them during flowering, as that would be very hard - some Phalaenopsis bloom nonstop for nearly a year. I use a seaweed emulsion diluted to half or third strength in the soaking water for mine every other watering, regardless of whether they are flowering, and it has never made them cease to bloom. Although to be fair, your fertilizer is VERY high on N (which is a bit strange for orchid fertilizer), and using that when they are flowering may interfere.

I've always killed every moth orchid I've had. After watching your video I might be tempted to have another go. One more time I keep telling myself! I think the beautiful display you created is not show to full feature in the corner. It would look fine there when not in flower. Thank you for your efforts in creating high quality videos.

Love them all together! The Wally grow pots don't leak water on the front?

It is a beautiful live arrangement ... I don't think you should stuck it in that corner ... may be after the blooms are gone . Right now it needs to be somewhere bright n airy to show off its beauty!😊
