I mean, driller can drill almost any terrain in a cave and provides great shortcuts and a straight tunnel towards the droppod. And you can C4 scouts so thats fun!

Yes, I find it wierd that a double barrel medium ammo rifle with a mediocre shotgun barrel is more expensive then the mosin, which is by far the best bolt action gun in the game, arguably the best gun in the game.

They also launched the Centennial with a wild price premium, it's in a good place now, personally I'm just gonna trust the process and let crytek give it a pass a bit in the future based on what I'm guessing would be performance numbers

The price point can be steep and I hope they lower it a tad. However, I am primarily concerned with the abysmal muzzle velocity on the bleeding and fmj rounds.

@HomeReel Drilling really needs a velocity increase for its special ammo, it's the only gun with such a massive velocity drop percentage wise when switching from normal to special ammo. Makes no sense, esp. for a gun with that massive of a price. Crytek ought to look into that.

After the newness and fun dies down, I don't see myself, or anyone taking it over a mosin. It's a new fun option, but I don't think it gives me a better chance to win over other weapons

The intense bleed that the special ammo does it pretty nasty alongside the relatively decent damage it does at close/mid range.

Crytec has always been afraid of “good” medium ammo guns. Even when the centennial first came out that gun was around 300 bucks. We know from previous updates that crytec is caring more and more about the economy balance of hunt. And the general manager has stated a few times that “expensive guns should be powerful”. I think they are afraid of making accidentally make a budget gun that rivals performance of long ammo or the power weapons. But i think it’s still safe to say that the drilling is definitely not better than a mosin, just different, so it shouldn’t fetch a price greater than a mosin either. 390 is where i think it should be at.

At the price of the drilling there really isnt a situation I'd rather have it over a mosin. The raw utility of long ammo over medium makes it an easy choice. If you have perfect aim the two tap is potent but the same could be said for basically any weapon.

I would accept the price if the shotgun actually acted like a full size shotgun. As it stands it’s extremely inconsistent without slugs which is just costing even more.
The one saving grace is the buff to medium dumdum, so it’s usable, but yes overpriced

380-410 I’d be cool with…the follow up is amazing when you can hit it, but it is still medium ammo so I’m not a huge fan of paying mosin prices for it

I expected it to be around the 300 to 400 $ area.

I still think that the current pricing is adequate as well, you essentially get two primaries in one, both of them with unique perks to them, but you still get so much freedom because you don't have the need for any kind of secondary.

The biggest justification is the choices of special ammo you have though. The recently buffed medium ammo intense bleed makes this gun extremely punishing, even if you don't manage the two tap. With the right setup this weapon has one of the fastest two taps, intense bleed, and the on paper second most reliable one tap shotgun in the game (only bested by the Romero) all in a single 3 slot weapon. You can't get such a combination in any other way, even if you'd combine different weapons. If you combine a bleed Springfield and a Romero you have to make one of the both a medium slot weapon, bring quartermaster and even then the Springfield only has one shot in the magazine, so it is not as easy to get the follow up shot out and the Romero handcannon would have a much lower range.

By now i think that any price below 400 would be unjustified. With this gun you don't have to pay for it being the strongest weapon in itself, but you pay for one of the strongest all-round packages in a single weapon.

I think you pay with the drilling for the free utility slot. You should not forget that you can equip a small crossbow or even a normal bow to kill all bosses easy and quiet.

Seems like a centennial situation. Devs probably think the gun will perform very good because of theories and the stats on paper, but eventually they will realize that it needs a balancing in price.

When the centy came out it was costy, clunky and also had less max ammo. All of these got buff and now it's perfectly fine.

if they wanna rework the price, they should do it in smaller increments. I think it's priced rather fairly, but I could see them nocking it down to somewhere between 390-470
