Here comes the criticism you expected for your reaction to Rachel :) I think her cake advice is very valuable! If you try to follow a diet that is very restrictive and unrealistic, you are setting yourself up for failure. Never having cake again, is not realistic for most people and a piece of cake will not destroy all your weight loss progress, but can make you feel so bad and guilty if you think it is 'forbidden' and you now 'failed'.

Ugh your so right. I get picked on in my family on that whole “cake and desserts” issue. It’s like why... I actually eat sooo many tasty desserts that are healthy for me. Like with keto or low carb lifestyle I have never felt restricted.

I had high cholesterol last spring, went on a pretty restrictive diet following the guidelines from American Heart Associations recommended diet. Dropped my cholesterol (LDL) from 179 to 135 in about 4 weeks. Lost 20lbs in 2 months, I've lost and additional 10lbs since July. Im just trying to maintain right now and I go back in January to get retetested. My question is that I've heard so many conflicting things about certain meats, cheese, dairy etc and what is really bad for you. I do cheat in moderation but always feel terrible afterwards so I don't cheat often. I have been eating a lot of venison because beef makes me sick on my stomach. I quit eating pork as well. Any recommendations on wat I definitely should not eat? Internet is so all over the place and exhausting looking for information without going down the internet rabbit hole. I've got about 7-8 more lbs to lose before I reach my goal. Losing weight wasn't the goal in the beginning, cholesterol dropping naturally with out medicine was. I refused to go on meds because it was self inflicted and could be managed by diet. Feel a lot better though! Knees quit hurting, brain fog and adhd is gone. Im more motivated to move around and stay busy. Hope this helps someone else while getting a more honest and true idea of really what I shouldn't eat. Im only 42 so I'd like to get it under control now before its too late.

I am the type of person who will do fasting for 3-4 days and eat once and again after 3-4 days, I can't by eating once a day, I just understand my body and my mind and I know that eating every 3-4 days is the easiest thing to do. Could you please take some time and help me with it? Like what should I eat every 3-4 days without feeling bad about it, because I can hardly say no to
