Using a to-do list can make you way more focused. But there’s lots of to-do apps out there and even after you pick one, setting it up right isn’t always straightforward.

The best to-do list app that’s available on all platforms is Todoist. I love Todoist and that’s why I’ve developed my own recommended Todoist setup.

I’ve made videos before about how to set up Todoist, but now there is a new feature that makes copying my setup even easier. In fact, let me show you how you can install my recommended Todoist setup with just one click.

Click this link to install the setup:

Just installed your template. Love how organized it is. My only fear is that I will add too much stuff to my Todoist lists. Thank you for sharing this.

This is a great idea. It is so easy to go back and forth looking for the perfect task manager.

I don't think Todoist is perfect but it's available on every platform and is regularly updated with new features.

I very much enjoyed your courses as well

Hey Peter, what an incredible Todoist video - I'm saving this for my future reference and adopting some of the hacks you mentioned. Thanks, my friend!

I watched your last video and integrated my Todoist with Google Calendar. While it imported all my existing events into Todoist, it won't add any events I've added since I integrated it. Do you know how I can fix that?

the filter is also including the archived projects. Is there a way to exclude archive projects and only include active projects?

If I download your setup to my ToDoist, will it remove my existing projects I have already setup? Also, do you have a comparison of ToDoist and TickTick?

Back when I was kinda sorta organized, I would follow a GTD style method of having projects as multiple sub tasks but with 1 task as the “next” item.
I know Projects in ToDoist are a different term and that Main tasks can be the gtd “project” with subtasks.
But I am struggling having a way to have the “next” subtask appear.

I’m guessing I’m going down a wrong road and should probably revisit my entire system.

Thoughts?

As always your videos are excellent. On a side note, Superlist is starting to nip at at the heels of Todoist!
