ARMA 2 Editor Tutorial - 'Customized Faces' [HD 720p]

I have been asked alot about how to use the Ingame Editor in ARMA 2 so i decided to make some Tutorial Movies to help People creating their own Missions with this Tool.

This one is about how to use "Customized Faces" in the Editor for Single Player Missions or Movies.

How to customize Faces:

Usermade Addon :
( Contains lots of great new Units / Faces and Masks! )

Remember to carefully read the "Readme" File that comes with the Addon!

Init Line Script :
( Copy this in the Init Field of your AI Unit )

this setface "FACENAME" ;

Example; this setface "Merc_Face29" ;

Library with all the Classnames for Units/ Weapons / Vehicles / Objects and Faces in ARMA2 and Operation Arrowhead.

Well a mod launcher might do the job but that is not exactly what you are looking for i guess. i dont think its possible to somehow download mods while already in game trying to join a server, specially because the game needs to restart to load the mods first.

"moveInDriver" and "moveInGunner" , works for Ground and Air Vehicle.

Needs to be placed in your player profile folder not the game main directory. no idea how it is with steam version though

this goes in your arma 2 profile folder, not the installation folder

For some reasons I don't see the taliban skins. I do see the mercenary skins but not the merc_face29 (ghost mask). does the .bikey file also go in the addons folder?

I can get the faces to change to the ones I want but when I play the mission after the first reload from a save the faces all change back to default. Wtf? Can you please tell me how you fix this?

I dont know the Mod you are using but my guess is that you cant use this helmet on every unit available in the game. might need to be a unit that commes with this mod.

@kjavina1 Sure. You can use custom faces on any Infantry Unit in SP and MP.

Combined Operations, so both. And the BAF Expansion. Most Servers use Content of these three Parts of ARMA 2.

@MultiRandomness99 Yeah sure! You can use all usermade Addons for the entire ARMA 2 Series.

if you have the face template you can customize the gloves with photoshop. hard to explain if you dont know what the face template is though.
