when you set the heli, you have to put it as "player" in one of the drop down boxes. the way you can find the right box is by the options player, playable, nonplayable.

@copjing Cheers! I play Arma 2 with my laptop so there is no numpad, so I redefine my controls now I could aim with it!

Or, you can even select several objects by dragging your mouse over them, and then press Ctrl + X, when I found that about this command I couldn't be happier.
