In (2nd Thessalonians 2) Paul refutes the notion of a pretribulation rapture. He says that it won't happen until after the man of sin is revealed sitting in the holy place claiming to be God. We are saved from the wrath of God which comes AFTER the great tribulation.

The best way to understand the bible is believe what it clearly says, pray for the Holy Spirit will give you understanding and He will. The way so many preacher read the Bible through the lens of passed theologians instead of believing what is prophesied in Daniel that in the last days believers will be given an ability to understand what Daniel could not. Therefore, trust the Holy Spirit and remember the words of Jesus, "watch, watch watch for the signs." That does not sound complicated to me.

I have attended a Calvary Chapel (100% pre-trib) for 25 years. I love my pastor and my church, but don't really agree with the Pre-trib viewpoint. Please read this and see if I am missing something or misquoting a verse.

Jesus in Matthew 24 is talking to His DISCPLES (believers) describing the time of Great Tribulation and says, "You will be hated by all nations for MY namesake, you will be handed over to the authorities and you will be beaten, tortured, and even put to death, but the one who endures to the end will be saved." This is NOT God's wrath. God does not pour out His wrath on the believer.

Jesus then says, "Therefore when you see the Abomination of Desolation, as spoken of by Daniel the prophet, flee. The Book of Daniel says the Abomination of Desolation happens at the mid-point of Daniel's 70th week. So, if the warning sign is at the mid-point, then the Great Tribulation starts AFTER the mid-point. Warning signs ALWAYS come BEFORE whatever they are warning about.

Then Jesus says, "Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened and the moon not give its light. These are the signs that Joel 2:31 say come right BEFORE the Day of the Lord. This is where God's wrath starts.

Revelation Chapter 6 talks about God's wrath; It has the 5th Seal being the Tribulation (I John saw under the alter the souls of those who were beheaded for the Word of God and for their testimony) then the 6th Seal is the sign in the sun and moon that Joel says comes RIGHT BEFORE the Day of the Lord (God's Wrath) then the next verse says "...they hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks and cried to the mountains and the rocks, fall on us and hide us from the Face of the one on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, for the Great Day of their Wrath has come."

So, we clearly have Abomination of Desolation (the mid-point of Daniel's 70th week) then Great Tribulation, then sign in sun and moon, and THEN God's Wrath. So, while God's Wrath takes place during the last half of Daniel's 70th week, the whole seven-year period is NOT God's Wrath. We as Christians are promised to not be here for God's wrath. That clearly doesn't start until the signs in Sun and Moon which clearly come AFTER the tribulation.

This is a great description of the Pre-Wrath viewpoint.

Reference this thess verse with John 5:27, the trumpet call alive and dead up for a judgement, so either this thess verse is not a rapture verse, or there was 2 events in which graves open for both good and bad people and the dead come out.

Proof of A Pre trib Rapture. Pay Attention to the Cloud and Clouds Jesus appears In and With. Acts chapter 1 verses 9 10 11 Cloud. In Red Luke chapter 21 verses 27 and 28 Jesus is coming In A Cloud the Rapture. In Revelation chapter 1 verse 7 Jesus is coming With the Clouds when he comes back to the Mt of Olive the second coming KJV. Read it carefully.

When s/one trusts Christ for salvation, _AT THAT POINT_ they've been delivered from the wrath of hell, so *I Thess* would have to speak of a DIFFERENT "wrath", which would be the tribulation. Those who have died w/o Christ are CURRENTLY experiencing the "WRATH" of God, for *John 3:36* tells us, "...he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God ABIDETH on him"

Next "UP" on God's calendar as far as "WRATH" goes ("the wrath TO COME"), is the tribulation. Other passages support this truth as well. *MARANATHA!*

When does the marriage and the marriage supper of the Lamb occur, before, in the middle or after the tribulation? Clue: The answer is in the Book of Revelation.

Rev 20:4 shows the dead in Christ rise after the tribulation has caused Christians to be beheaded. Rev 18 and 19 show the Harlot city destroyed BEFORE the marriage of the Lamb is even announced.
"We are not destined to wrath." What is the wrath of God? His justice. He poured it out in the Flood, but protected Noah and family during the outpouring of the wrath. He poured out his wrath in Egypt, but protected Goshen through it. He poured out his wrath on the Jews in the wilderness but protected the repentant ones. He will pour out his wrath on the evil world system, but preserve the souls of the elect through it. His ultimate wrath, which no elect soul will face, is eternal death.

And then there was a great earthquake.. some people claim to hear a trumpet noise before an earthquake (the sound of the earth moving). If the rapture and the great eq are close together in revelation, that would explain it. I'll have to look, after this great video.
