Undoubtedly, Jesus just refuted the Pre-tribulation Rapture doctrine in these 2 verses. If God's Elect, or God's Church, was supposedly to be raptured before the Great Tribulation, then why would the days of the Tribulation need to be shortened for their sake? Surely that wouldn't matter if they were supposedly raptured before the Tribulation even began, right?

It's very clear that the Church will go through the Tribulation once the Mark of The Beast is enforced, and then Jesus will shortly come back after protecting His Church during the 7 Last Plagues.

I find it ironic how Jesus warned everyone about the End-Time events with His first precaution, "Take heed that no one decieves you." (Matthew 24:4) So Jesus was plainly telling us that there would be widespread deception and falsehoods about climactic events in the End-Times; the Pre-tribulation Rapture is just one of them...

For the longest time; I was on the side of pre-trib. Than I was on the fence constantly not knowing pre, or post. Than today, I recognise a more post-trib in the Word. And I am comforted that all will be ok, as I am not appointed to God's wrath.

They read where it says that the day of the Lord comes as a thief in the night, however they stop there and don't read any farther so they miss the part that say that the heavens pass away with a great noise, the elements melt with fervent heat and the earth and the works that are in it are burned up. Doesn't sound very secret to me.

The truth of the word of God does indeed matter. But whether or not there is a pre trib or a post trib rapture, you gotta be prepared always🙏

I was taught pre trib. As I grew up and read the Bible on my own my belief became that we will be removed before the wrath of God.

I do not see any scripture in the Bible about Pre-Tribulation Rapture. Jesus set His Standards abut end time prophesy. I agree with His Word.
