Discrete Math 1 - Tutorial 1 - Rule of Sum and Rule of Product

A brief explanation of Rule of Sum and Rule of Product and the beginning of some very simple examples enlightening these rules.

I really appreciate the style and attitude.. I read into the definitions and theorems too much sometimes and make it more complicated than it needs to be. Beyond making the topic simple and easy to catch onto, I seriously need to say wtf more often and just learn the problems that will be on the test..

You don't have to go through the videos in order. But this is the first episode of the series. However, just go find the videos that HELP you. You don't need to watch everything, just the stuff that you're stuck with. Use your time wisely :).

Thanks for the video but your rule of sum sounds confusing. Here is another definition that is easier to understand:
"If there are M  ways of doings something, and N ways of doing another thing, both of which cannot be done at the same time, then there are M + N  ways to choose one of these actions."
