Welcome to another amazing episode of guided Meditation, ideally meditation has to be done without any thoughts and listening to instructions is also an thought but for beginners to get anti the rhythm it’s very much needed . As per Gita when ever we do meditation our spine should be straight and best Asan to sit for getting best concentration is Siddhasana.

Siddhasana (Sanskrit: सिद्धासन; IAST: siddhāsana) or Accomplished Pose, is an ancient seated asana in hatha yoga and modern yoga as exercise suitable for meditation.The names Muktasana (Sanskrit: मुक्तासन, Liberated Pose) and Burmese position are sometimes given to the same pose, sometimes to an easier variant, Ardha Siddhasana.

Siddhasana is one of the oldest asanas. It is described as a meditation seat in the early Hatha Yoga text, the 10th century Goraksha Sataka. This states that Siddhasana ranks alongside Padmasana (lotus position) as the most important of the asanas, opening the way to liberation. The 15th century Hatha Yoga Pradipika similarly suggests that all other asanas are unnecessary once Siddhasana has been mastered.

Best practice of meditation is to do the practice at same time in same place.

Meditation is a practice in which an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.
Meditation is practiced in numerous religious traditions. The earliest records of meditation (dhyana) are found in the Upanishads of Hindu philosophy, and meditation plays a salient role in the contemplative repertoire of Buddhism and Hinduism.Since the 19th century, Asian meditative techniques have spread to other cultures where they have also found application in non-spiritual contexts, such as business and health.

Meditation may significantly reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and pain, and enhance peace, perception, self-concept, and well-being.Research is ongoing to better understand the effects of meditation on health (psychological, neurological, and cardiovascular) and other areas.

I practice morning yoga when I wake up. I first do Basti Kriya or yogic enemas then my yoga asanas and meditation. I find that this routine cleanses the body and mind to its fullest. I have been doing this routine since I was 13 in 1995.
