Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits

1 cup of buttermilk or make it yourself 1 tablespoon vinegar plus enough milk to equal 8 oz
1 stick shredded frozen butter
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

In a bowl add your butter, flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder. mix and combine.
Then slowly add and stir in your cold buttermilk. Form your dough into an oblong shape and fold 3 to 4 times. cut your biscuits using a tuna can or cup.
Put uncooked biscuits in a parchment paper lined baking dish, side to side touching.
Put in a preheated 450ﾟ oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
***when rolling out your biscuit dough, have a small amount of flour out to use "as needed" if the dough is sticky.***

**It is said that you are not suppose to twist when cutting your biscuits. It supposably seals the sides, not allowing them to rise. my biscuits came out beautiful.** Your kitchen, your rules.

After not eating any bread or tortillas for two weeks I gave in and made these biscuits and oh my goodness they are so delicious. I love the way they flake off in layers. The vinegar and milk trick works out so well because who really has buttermilk in the refrigerator 😊. Great recipe. Thank you Rosie.
