I'm 50, I started making biscuits. With my dad when I was eight. It was our Saturday ritual to feed the family. Over the years I've taken his recipe and tuned it to what I like. I don't measure anything. But I always use frozen butter in my recipe. I always have people ask me for my recipe. I always tell people can't tell you. But will be more than happy to show you. You have to know how a biscuit mix should feel. It'd how it feels, it's how it looks. I can tell when they are done just by how they smell in the oven. You're tactics and mine are extremely similar. Good video, enjoyed it a lot. When it comes to a good biscuit, experience means a lot. Lol

It is SO nice to watch someone who isn't trying to make it about themselves. Thanks.

OMGoodness! A biscuit recipe with no wasteful words! Nicole doesn't even subject us desperate reader's in need of a good biscuit recipe, to sit through a bunch of boring I, me, my baking stories, nor does she force us to listen to her past biscuit failures, no ideas that didn't work for her or thought paths that bombed, will you find in this video! Every word has a purpose. Just 6 masterful ingredients. Every step and every tip is explained and every WHY is answered. When I put a plate of these biscuits on the table...and everybody knew I made them....I was swelled up with pride! Thanks, Nicole! I like your style! I'll never buy Grands or Pillsbury EVER again! Canned biscuits? Those are soo last week!

I found that spraying the inside of the grater with non-stick spray helps to not have the butter stick on the inside. Yummy! Biscuits

I know this has been posted for a while, but this is an example of how information should be delivered. Well paced, practical, and informative. Thanks for the great recipe. Cook on!

Best recipe for biscuits I've found is self rising flour and heavy whipping cream 2 cups of self rising flour a 1 1/2 cups of heavy whipping cream incorporate well and roll out dough to a half of a inch thick and use a 2 ond a half inch to 3 inch biscuit cutter and cook a 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 11 to 13 minutes depending on how you oven is configured if it's not insulated around it.

I have been practicing making biscuits for many years. I made this recipe and the only thing I had on hand was King Arthur bread flour, and it was not self rising flour. These were the best biscuits I have ever made. I followed you exactly and the bread flour put these biscuits over the top. You gave me the tips I needed thank you very much, I have made the best biscuits and when I gave one to my boyfriend he couldn’t believe it thank you again I appreciate you!! Patty Houston Texas

I make up 3 recipes with butter and butter flavor crisco shorting, work it in as call for in recipe. Then put it in a seal container and put in my freeze. When ready to make my biscuits take out the amount needed for the number of biscuits I need and add buttermilk and mix them as per the recipe. This way you can have them in half the time and mess.

I Really appreciate how you go into such detail about everything. Especially the dry ingredients

My mother and grandmother made the best biscuits. Both being from Alabama. I'm not sure how they did it but they would put flour, salt and I guess baking powder in a bowl. Make a 'well' in the center and using their hands would form a biscuit. So good! The biscuits were soft, tender, flaky and so good.

This biscuit recipe is so good!!!! I just made it right now! You forgot to add the butter and buttermilk measurements, so I just put a stick of butter, and a cup of milk. It turned out delicious! If anybody ever says anything bad about these biscuits, either they're wrong or they messed up on the recipe. They are so YUMMY! THANK YOU!

This is great!!! I've been wasting ingredients because I've been messing them up so bad. No recipe I've found has been explaining the WHY and how. Just "slap these ingredients together!" Hopefully, I'll be successful next time.

Good job on the biscuits! I like your enthusiasm on making them. Looks like your dough is actually at least 1 inch in thickness... Doesn't matter though...they look heavenly! What I mostly like about your video is that your straight to the point and isn't very long. I've seen videos that are 13 to 17 minutes long on making biscuits? Why? Lol... Awesome job! 👏 👍

This recipe is really good, We didnt have a cutter so used a knife and made squares. They were very moist, flaky and super easy to make
