It’s not a lack of imagination actually. Most food waste is created by supermarkets and big companies like Walmart. They throw away perfectly good food either because it doesn’t look “aesthetic enough” or what happens more often, simply to create artificial scarcity. I don’t want people to fall into the trap of blaming individuals for a systemic problem.
