A complex number is a number that can be expressed in the form a + bi, where a and b are real numbers, and i is a solution of the equation x2 = −1. Because no real number satisfies this equation, i is called an imaginary number. For the complex number a + bi, a is called the real part, and b is called the imaginary part.

Wont the Maximum distance ( 31:00) be 22
BC + 12 = 10+12=22

Thank you sir sharing this perspective of solving such problems, they seem very easy now.
HW q1- circle of radius 2
HW q2- alpha=2
HW q3- |z|=5/3

At 34:00 should there be two points? As one is centre of circle ie radius and the other is origin as theyre all 1 unit apart from origin

How do you say they are concyclic 34:00

Hw1 .a) circle with radius 2
Hw2 .. a) alpha=2
Hw3...b)5/3...
Thank you sir for making complex number somewhat easy and understandable for me. .
Thanks a lot...

30:42 for | z1-z2 | max there must be a point D diametrically opposite to C i.e. at the opposite corner of the bigger circle
So max distance will be BC + CD = 10 + 12 =22 please check my comment and reply if i am wrong

why many of the people commenting the answer of the last home work question as 5/3 the value 5/3 is value of x and the value of y is 1 so the modules comes out to be root 34/3 opt a
