FILM DESCRIPTION:
Easily excitable Neal Page (Steve Martin) is somewhat of a control freak. Trying to get home to Chicago to spend Thanksgiving with his wife (Laila Robins) and kids, his flight is rerouted to a distant city in Kansas because of a freak snowstorm, and his sanity begins to fray. Worse yet, he is forced to bunk up with talkative Del Griffith (John Candy), whom he finds extremely annoying. Together they must overcome the insanity of holiday travel to reach their intended destination.

Never met Steve Martin but I had the honor of serving John Candy room service during the filming of "Summer Rental" back in 1985 on St. Petersburg Beach, Florida. I got to know him and can confirm that the character is the man and the man is the character. RIP John, and thank you for the memories.

I like the detail of Del's wife's framed picture being similar to the headshot you'd find at a funeral, which makes more sense when you find out the twist.

This great movie is the best american comedy of the fabulous '80's.
Steve Martin and the late John Candy are two wonderful actors.
Awesome!

When you're Steve Martin and you've looked basically the same for 35 years...

It’s not thanksgiving, but I was in the mood tonight. Best part about thanksgiving is watching this movie with the family.

According to the trivia, this scene was the most challenging to film because by the time the camera panned in front of Steve and John they would start laughing every take.
