As much as I love this movie, it is now a very sad reminder of one of the worst days of my life. My wife and I were watching this on TV Thanksgiving Day 2020. She died that same morning.

Ever since I found out that the sub-plot of Neil’s wife thinking he was having an affair was cut, this ending makes so much more sense.
I always thought she seemed too overly emotional for the fact he was only away for a couple of days but she’s overwhelmed with relief to see he was telling the truth all along.
