St. Paul weighs fast food drive thru restrictions

New zoning restrictions being considered by St. Paul's city leaders would limit the use of drive-thrus for coffee shops and fast-food restaurants in an effort to improve pedestrian safety and reduce traffic along popular corridors.

There's already less and less parking due to all the bike lanes. Take away parking and drive thru businesses will flee the city for suburbs.

This is their priority? Not rising crime, empty store fronts and the only time the city shows any life is due to a concert or sporting event. Just because Minneapolis does something, it doesn't make it the smart thing to do. In fact, the way that city is run, doing the exact opposite would be the wisest course.

Minneapolis instituted a ban on drive throughs 5 years ago but left the subject of Black on Black crime tabled for 10 years. They are still forming a committee.
