Thanks for the tips. I think I'll need to look into the horizontal arm for the tripod. A few people have suggested I start a YouTube channel for my drawings but I don't feel the need to record any audio of me speaking. I'll probably just film my drawing and add some royalty-free music. I don't need to be a "YouTube celebrity" I just want to share my drawing process.

As usual, very informative. Keep in mind also, when you are describing your ideal lighting situation, with natural light, that natural light can be very strong even on a cloudy day, but a piece of lg. white cardboard mounted just out of camera range on the opposite side can provide "bounce" lighting for fill purposes; that helps resolve ( or "fill") the stark shadows that may result. It also looks as though the window you are seated next to is shaded, or translucent, rather than transparent, which is also very useful for diffusing strong natural light.
