How I record my Art Videos and Vlogs

This isn't a tech review but instead more of a show and tell about what cameras, camera bags, easel and the rest of my setup that I use for filming my art videos for those who have been asking about what I use.


Stuff I use: (affiliate links)
★ Webcam - Logitech (no link, mine are both outdated and no longer sold from what I can see. I'm super helpful aren't I?)
★ I shoot the footage of art on a Canon VIXIA HF G20 HD camcorder. No link because it's very outdated as well. It does its job and there is no reason to replace it yet, but you can get better for less than I paid for mine. Don't feel like you need the newest and best tech for recording your videos. You really don't! Most of what I have will last for many MANY years to come!

Thank you! Yep, I love B&H too. They also have wonderful videos where they get experts in their field to come in and give a talk .. I used to walk right past their store back in the day when they were on (5th Avenue?) in NY. They’re still in NY. Hope they and their family are ok in 2020.

Thanks so much for sharing your setup. It's always very useful to see how other people do things. I've just been looking around for a video camera myself because I am using an old DSLR for recording my art and it always times out at around 12 minutes which is extremely inconvenient, so I'm glad you mentioned that to people in this video because it can catch people unaware.

You should think about buying a Neutral Density sheet for your windows. ND sheets on your windows will give you more of a film look. ND sheets are expensive but they are reusable. There is a Youtube channel called Grip Tips which provides instructions.
