I'm watching this video a couple (maybe more) years after she posted it. The first few minutes have her talking about not even having enough subscribers to be monetized. Now she has 213k subs and her video is among the first that pops up when I search for Art YouTubers. This is heartening. Good job, Kelsey. I'll bet most people fail (at anything, really) because they give up too quickly. And I'll also wager that most rapid growth channels had some luck early on--not that they're not good, but that some luck gave them an early boost.

I literally just started my YouTube channel and have come to this video for some inspiration. Any time I put in a huge amount of work into one thing I get immediately deflated when it's out in the world and have to try and focus on the next goal. Appreciate this video especially the phone stuff, I use my iPhone and I think the footage is great tbh + can't afford to drop a bag on some equipment

I'm glad you kept with it!! I'm still deciding if YouTube is worth it for me. I just want to be an artist - it feels like you have to also try to be an internet personality to make a career as an artist. I'm willing to try my best....
