This is 100% wrong and illegal for a Range hood vent. You are required in most places to use rigid metal ducting and not flexible ducting. The ridges in the flexible ducting will build up grease and can (and will) start a fire. I have a friend who was doing remodeling and when the opened up his wall there was evidence of a fire in the flexible ducting he had. Also, *be aware that if you do this work yourself and do it wrong in a way that causes a fire or other damage, your insurance company can deny any claims on the damage.*

Make sure to have an intake vent somewhere to replace the air, especially if you have a modern house with a tight envelope. By the way, what camera(s) do you use? Your vids all look really good.

Use cardboard when working on fiberglass insulation. Just break down that Amazon box and toss it right on top

Do not use flexible duct. It will fill with grease creating a fire hazard.
