Did this when my wife went to the bathroom. When she came back a few minutes later, she asked where the wall came from. I pretended it was always there. She said she clearly remembered no wall being there since we moved in, right after we were married. I told her we weren't married, and my name wasn't Robert. If this partition isn't temporary, you don't want that drywall seam lining up with the corner of your doorway. Over time, the shutting of the door will cause the paint/mud to crack there.

I know that there's no concrete directions to follow from watching this video and I'll have to search for more information on measuring tools and all that stuff but this kind of gave some extra confidence was kind of like watching somebody put together a puzzle it did boost my confidence to give it a try .
