I haven't found as of yet q single video of anyone who's come up with a technique to hide where those panels meet. I still see the exact point where they meet and I absolutely hate it with all my heart. I need to figure a way to make it look like actual installed shiplap

Nooo you will ruin the sheet rock just use finish nails and use a tiny brush to paint them the glue will pull the Sheetrock after you move or your wife wants to change it

Im looking at doing something similar, did you need to account for the expansion of the wood due to humidity and temperature changes by leaving gaps at the edges or is this flush against ceiling, floor and walls? Also, i see you cut the last piece straight, does this mean that your end wall is perfectly level? Because mine isnt and i dont know how to account for this, i dont have the skill to cut to match the profile of my wall exactly.
