Got a 2023 402A, it’s been incredible. Daily driver, off road, and I tow our 25ft. camper. At 30, 000 miles couldn’t be happier

Good first effort for live streaming on the field. However, I'd prefer 4k quality, even if that means it's not streamed. Watching TFL on the big screen is the best ❤

$80, 000+ AND they're charging a subscription fee to use the options you already spent extra money for?!? That. Is. Insane.

Ford used to offer a bzillion individual options. CEO said to simplify and reduce costs they bundled options in 2024. Thus we cannot order Torsen or auto 4wd without the 11k package.
Unfortunately consumer isn't seeing these cost savings.

To answer the question about whether a 4A transfer case being weaker.

It depends. The Raptor transfer case is pretty bespoke in that it uses a clutch system (not truly locking) for the torque on demand mode (4Auto). It has a separate traditional gear and chain system for the 4hi and 4lo modes (truly locked).

I'll use the ram 1500 as a different example. This could have been updated, but I believe there were 2 transfer case options. The BW44-44 (4A) and the BW44-45 (traditional part time). To my understanding the bw44-44 does not truly lock even in 4hi and 4lo in the same way that the BW44-45 does as it also uses some form of clutch system. I think what rams use now are the BW48-11 and BW48-12. The 11 is clutch based and not truly locking, the 12 is fully locking. The TRX has a BW48-13 but from what I have read is just a full time version of the 48-11

If it has clutches then friction plates can overheat and fade compromising the system.

Mind blown you spend base 65k for the tremor and 4 auto not included.

multi function tailgates are the best new feature for trucks in decades, esp if you have a topper, otherwise you need a bedslide. leveling kits are stupid, unless you want to drive around with an empty bed all the time. as soon as you put a load in the bed or tow something your rear is squatting too much and your headlites are blasting oncoming traffic. this is why trucks used for work are higher in the back. otherwise buy a maverick hybrid to commute in.

Have a ‘24 Tremor and love it. Also like BlueCruise way more than I thought I would - however, Ford and every other auto manufacturer can stick it where the sun don’t shine with their subscription services. 70k for a vehicle and you want to nickel and dime me in order to fully utilize features that are already built into the car? Get lost.

Would love to see a comparison between Tremor/trail boss/Rebel.

I passed on the Tremor specifically because I wanted the Torsen but not the 402a package. The Torsen was a $500 stand alone option for’23 but for’24 you have to opt for an $11, 000 package to get it. Way to go Ford. 🤬

4wd Auto is nice for winter and street driving but a hardcore off-road truck should have a transfer case that hard locks the front to rear, not connected via a "clutch".

Leveling is for looks, once you put weight in the bed it will level. This would be a great overlanding rig.

Glad I bought my 401A last year when I could get the Torsen without the glamour pack.

How about a Ford off road package vid at the ranch course? FX4 vs Tremor vs Raptor.

I’d like to see this vs a Sierra at4 3.0 duramax

extending the wifi range will help get better shots. Maybe use a battery power bank with the starlink on top of a side by side so you can position the starlink closer.. and/or use smaller power banks with wifi mesh extenders at "waypoints"?

I hear on some of these videos that some overlanders get the Raptor and put beefier leafs on them to increase payload capacity so it doesn't sag with the heavier overlanding setup. Do you know, if you do that do you lose that raptor smooth highway ride advantage over the tremor and platinum?

Love my 2022 Tremor, even if she is a road queen.
