Thanks for sharing. My old Belkin USB 2.0 with 7-ports may have taken its last byte [OR] Microsoft shut it down because it is "unrecognized" when I look in the Device Manager while connected to my old Windows 7 desktop computer. I just need a reliable multi--port hub with USB 2.0 & 3.0 primarily for data transfer and charging, but will consider additional types of ports HDMI to cover my "wish I had that port too on my hub". I recently purchased a device that converts HDMI to RCA, which saved us money and helped extend our household budget. There aren't any small TVs on the market that meet our "Kitchen TV Requirements" - the TV with stand must not exceed 17 1/2-inches tall, so it could fit underneath the cabinet. The cool converter device permitted us to use one of our old small Sylvania 15-inch TV (Model # LC155SL8P) LCD HDTV.

If you have any type of fancy hardware like a 4khz polling rate mouse or whatever don't do this.
Basically if you play any competitive games at all you should get a really good usb hub that is up to spec with your hardware requirements.

Greetings Consumer Tech Review,

For my PC gaming system, I plan on plugging up a USB headset with microphone, USB keyboard that is equipped with a USB Passthrough, USB Racing Wheel, USB Mouse, and a PC controller.

Do you think a USB 3.0 Hub will be able to provide adequate power for all of those devices or should I consider a USB-C Hub?

Can you plug in 4 thumb drives? Will the computer label them E:, F:, G:, H: drives?

how long does the cable need to be before you need a powered hub? or are powered extenders better?

Mine do not go under my desk because my monitor sits on top of the main desk. There is a shelf to my right to put my drink, candles etc. there. My computer is sitting on top of the desk, which is tall. I have the HP OMAN 45 L, talk about heavy! me and my dad went to lift it up to put it up there, I didn't think we were going to make it, but I found strength and pushed hard to lift it and we got it on top. whew. Now there is an open area to the back of the computer to the left. I have several USB hubs there. Recently, my main USB hub is failing. I have to keep unplugging my device such as the mouse and keyboard and plug it back in. So annoying. I have to get a new one. This one is called Star Tech which is not that old, but it did not last long. But I will have to replace it and plug all back in. What a pain.
