oh my god thank you- thank you- THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I had problems with the launcher for like a week and eventually deleted and reinstalled the game but was then stuck unable to reinstall it because the launcher wasn't working! i was pulling out my hairs at this point and this finally helped me, man i owe you one big time!

Try connecting to a different wifi/hotspot and then go connect back to your original one. It worked for me
