really do hope the PCIE solution becomes standard, adding an extra point of contact on the other end of the card would reduce the weight sag that some heatsink designs bring to them

I think this is a good idea. I see why you would like the custom cables but it’s one less thing to buy and worry about. Plus this gives me a reason to upgrade my pc😂

i think if asus manages just to integrate this feature into all their motherboards and not jack up the price it would be great so ur not forced to a specific motherboard

Most people like the power connectors. Plus it takes a special motherboard which means, you want a different motherboard or use your old one. Well you can't. It's just giant scam to get more money. They can charge extra for them.

As a budget builder idk how I feel about it. It changes the ability to update your card when you're ready, plus if I want to give a refresh to my build I just swap out the cables 😂
