You actually used to be able to see the decimals after the hp, since weapons don't deal a full numbers worth of damage, so the game rounds up

This is a common trick in game design, it’s a grace thing. It’s designed to prioritize that last bit of health more than any other piece so they have a chance to clutch it.

I dont play fortnite but as a game dev my theeory is its Probably a rounding or floating point error so they still have a fraction of a hp left but the dmg you see when hitting is rounded

The only why you’re at one is because when you swinging your pickax the first time you hit him in the second time you missed

No there was a time when the health bars were in decimals so a normal ar shot does 32.6 damage and a charge shotgun does 146.5 damage so technically there is still 1 hp left
