ANOTHER VPN SERVICE PROVIDER OPTION - PRIVADOVPN ($30 PER YEAR LIMITED TIME OFFER)

As an alternative to Private Internet Access you may want to check out PrivadoVPN who is running a limited special offer for their premium service at $30 per year!!

This saved my night!!!
I made a mistake at first, using my SOCKS login, instead of my primary PIA creds.
But finally worked after I found your video, explaining how to use the PEM file.

Thanks for the video....I'm not sure if this is a client server VPN or a peer to peer vpn. I like to know what limitations might someone might have like using hyper backup, does this use ports, or can use quick connect

This exactly answered my question about how to use the NAS VPN client to route my Mac's traffic over a VPN! Now is it possible in the MacOS Network Preferences to set up certain specific routes (IP destinations) that will use the NAS VPN client as their router while letting other traffic use the default (non-VPN) router on my LAN?

Hello, thank you for all your instruction. I have a question. I succeeded to configure VPN client on NAS, now it is connected to VPN. I've downloaded the client also on a computer located in a different network and connected to vpn, with my same credentials. How can I reach the NAS from my computer? I want to access my NAS file using the VPN. What am I doing wrong?

Question, when you select the VPN location file does it have to be your region?

First of all I want to thank you as I have learned a lot from your tutorials. I have a problem. I followed all the steps carefully and both from the NAS and from the PC then configured, all traffic is on the VPN (I use NordVPN). However, as soon as I start the VPN connection, the port forwarding rules are disabled and consequently the NAS (with all the Photos services etc ...), is no longer reachable from the internet. I have enabled the item enable multiple gateways, to no avail. Is there perhaps a solution? Thanks in advance.

I see that PIA allows the purchase of a dedicated IP address. It would be great to see a video how to use that rather than using ddns and google domains or other ddns provider to point to this address. What do you think?

This doesn't seem to work for me. I can ssh into the NAS and see the difference between being connected to the vpn vs not regarding the traceroute to youtube, that works, but when i follow the steps to configure another pc on my LAN to have a DG of the IP of my NAS, it connects to the network, but has no internet connection. I don't understand why that is.
