The issue I have is, if I connect 3.5mm jack it recognize it and I can disable, enable and do whatever I want with it. Connecting HDMI however, does not recognize it whatsoever.. :(

Restarting the Windows Audio service fixed a problem whereby sometimes my LG TV wouldn't be shown as available for audio output after I turned it off and on to save electricity. Thanks!

Would probably be prudent to check your cable connection first ? with all due respect. I've just had issues where the monitor was working but jiggling the cable brought the audio back on for some unknown reason.

no need to restart services if you're gonna reboot the system anyway lol... rebooting IS restarting all services

HaHa, Alternative TWILIGHT ZONE Audio Issues REF my post earlier, have Acer nitro 5 laptop connected to 4k BenQ monitor no issues ever. Until today, watching Ozark on Netflix IN BED poorly with Bronchitis and BenQ screen flickered, went off 5 seconds and back on. Did that 4 times then Audio went off but picture was okay. Jiggled HDMI lead and picture flickered, Aha, loose lead ? Nope. Did all as per video here, no audio, reinstalled Nvidia drivers, no audio but all along laptop audio is cool without HDMI. So was gonna put spare HDMI cable on thinking the cable was faulty and have got my BenQ monitor lifted up on Native instruments MIDI keyboard BOX and under the corner at my end I spotted the BenQ REMOTE with the box SLIGHTLY pressing on the remote control .. Aha, (LOL) SURELY NOT, retrieved remote, Audio volume at 50, NO AUDIO, ok, Pressed Audio Selection for Rock, Live, Classical ambience etc button and VOILA, AUDIO PERFECT 😂 (insert morals of story here) have a blessed weekend LOL
