I recently bought a B8 (2012) Audi S5 4.2 for $16k it's a lot of bang for the buck. It's an AWD (rear wheel bias), 6MT, V8 beast. Sure 350 hp doesn't sound like a whole lot but it definitely feels like more. Doing launches there is no wheel spin at all it just goes. Even though it's got 12 years to it's age and close to 100k on the odom, it holds up really well and could even compete with modern Mustangs. To date, the V8 S5s are the fastest S5s even over the current gen S5s with the supercharged V6s. A lot of people overlook the V8 S5s because they confuse the V8 in this car with the V8 in the S4s. The V8 in the S4s was very problematic and only lasted one generation. The V8 used in the R8 is a closer comparison to the V8 used in the S5s but the V8 in the S5s is slightly newer and both of those V8s are not only very reliable but are capable of packing a lot of power very easily. Right now there aren't a whole lot of performance mods for the V8 S5s, HOWEVER, JHM makes a supercharger kit, combine their supercharger kit with a Jackal flash tune and you have a decently competitive build. I don't know if it still holds records but an S5 with just JHM's supercharger kit and Jackal's flash was a record breaking car, which Jackal still claims it is so it could still be holding it. Not only that but I get constant compliments for how it looks. Definitely a car worth mentioning.

In Europe/Germany the Genesis Coupé also has a V8 Engine which has arround 300 horsepower as well btw 🙂‍↕️
