Democracy is what in the West is confessed as the preferred system. So if majority of Turkish citizens and Muslims wish for The Hagia Sofia to be made into a Mosque why is the West complaining and the answer is that they are two faced hypocrites. The Cathedrals in Spain were once Mosques now they are churches and the entire Muslim Ummah does not have a problem with this. I can assure you all this justice of Allah SWT will prevail.

I’m Orthodox, now if the Turks want to turn this to a mosque they can, it’s their land, yes the Byzantines made it for the Eastern Orthodox Church, but we can’t complain, it’s Turkish land, they can do what they want with it.

I'm glad I got to see the Hagia Sophia the last year before it was converted back into a mosque. What a shame that Turkey is playing politics with religion using UNESCO world heritage site. The stunning Blue Mosque is literally a stone throw away from the Hagia Sophia - there is zero need to have two mosques of that size standing next to each other. And let's face it - the Suleymaniye Mosque outshines both the Hagia and the Blue and is absolutely colossal.
